When it comes to preventing mold infestation, more and more households are choosing to go the natural way.

By natural, it means, using non-chemical solutions to prevent mold growth.

In its website, Natural On.Com featured six ways to prevent the growth of the very dangerous black mildew as well as molds. “Clinically, mold has been linked to respiratory problems, sinus infections, skin irritation, and further irritates those with allergies and asthma. Most people turn to bleach to kill mold, but bleach (chlorine) can be just as toxic. There are plenty of other natural ways to kill mold and not risk your health.”

Know about the six ways here.

Natural ways to get rid of it.

If it is already too late for you to prevent mold growth in your home as you have noticed small particles in some parts of your house, then fret not because there are natural solutions that you can use to get rid of molds.

Handyandhomemade.com shared some ways to go about it. “Tea Tree Oil. This is the best working natural mold and mildew remover spray you can make. Tea tree oil is expensive, but a little goes a long way. It can be used on anything that needs mold and mildew removal. Note that the smell of tea tree oil is very strong but will disappear in a day or so, and is non-toxic but it might be too strong for sensitive children.”

Olivia Cleans Green.com also shared yet another environment-friendly way to get rid of molds. Apart from the spray solution she shared in the video below, she also shared these tips: “It’s also a good idea to take a look at the mold/mildew affected environment and adjust lifestyle habits. Damp and warm environments are happy growing spaces for mold and mildew. Crack open a window or door to improve air circulation and help things dry quickly. Investigate suspected leaks and repair them quickly. Towel dry or squeegee your shower walls. Spread open wide the shower curtain so it can air dry quickly instead of leaving it bunched up. Make sure laundry is completely dry before putting it away.”

Mold however has to be handled by professionals. If you think the infestation is not just a small random growth then it is time to ask professional mold removal experts so as not to risk your health and that of your family’s.
