Mold poisoning is a serious condition that warrants immediate treatment and action.

In his website, TV Doctor, Dr. Oz re-posted a video clip of his interview with a mom whose family got sick of inhaling mold and gases that it emits.

Highly Toxic

According to website susanutchinson.com, black mold poisoning has a lot of symptoms, and most of those symptoms, they have experienced when they unknowingly lived in an old farmhouse that apparently has molds in its crawl space.

Black mold  (Stachybotrys chartarum and Stachybotrys chlorohalonata) is HIGHLY toxic.  Look for mildew on your windows, yellowish stains on your ceilings and walls, mildew in the bathroom, etc.   As the mold grows, it becomes more toxic as it releases into the air.  As it grows, it forms Volatile Organic Compounds, or VOC’s, that are basically released into the air you breathe, creating a host of health problems”

Like Hutchinson’s family, another family of four called for rescue after experiencing symptoms of black mold poisoning. Media outfit Newsplex.com reported that right after their urgent care treatment, the family was told to stay out of the house until the mold problem is resolved.

“Several rescue squads responded to the 1900 block of Avon Street Extended in Charlottesville. There, they found a woman and three children suffering from what appeared to be mold poisoning symptoms. Fire officials say mold was found in the basement”

Regular checks in and around the home may be vital to prevent mold poisoning, especially if the house is old or has a basement or unfrequented crawl spaces that may gather moisture.
