You may not know it but you or your family may already have developed mold allergies.

Media outfit WRCBTV reported that some people may mistake their allergies to be triggered by pollen when in fact it comes from mold spores in the house hence mold removal was not even taken into consideration. “In an average April, Chattanooga receives around four inches of rainfall. This April we’ve had more than twice that amount officially measured at Lovell Field. Cromie says you might not know you’re allergic to molds because the reactions to it are similar to those of pollens…It’s a simple skin test that can detect pollen and mold allergies, as well as some others. To reduce reactions to mold inside your home, Cromie recommends using a dehumidifier”

It is so important that in New Jersey, legislators are mulling to require newly constructed single homes to install one according to a report from Media outfit New Jersey.news12.com. “New Jersey lawmakers hope a bill waiting to be signed will keep families safer in the event of fires. Under the new bill, newly built single-family homes would be required to have fire sprinkler systems installed. ‘This is a tool that firefighters use. It’s a tool that early alerts our residents of smoke and hazard, and it’s a tool that will contain fires for our members as they respond…’”

In its website kcwy13.com showed a video comparison of a burning room without a fire sprinkler system, and another one, which has sprinkler systems installed.

GMAnews.com reported that in the Philippines, a part of the ceiling of a cinema collapsed when the fire sprinkler system all of a sudden released water. GMA quoted the mall’s management saying “’Based on initial findings, the sprinkler system released water that caused the acoustic boards to fall. We are further investigating the cause,’” it said in its statement, which was sent via text to GMA Cebu’s Nikko Sereno“

Asbestos exposure remains to be a frightening concept or most people as one will never know when a person could feel the effects to the exposure.

Website Telegraph.Co.Uk has featured a story on some Mesothelioma patients who have been exposed to asbestos about ten years before the dreadful diagnosis. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer associated with Asbestos exposure.

“With most cancers, it is hard to know the exact cause. Though some smokers get lung cancer, for example, not all lung cancer sufferers have smoked. But mesothelioma is different. In almost every case, the cause is exposure to asbestos – a fibrous building material once dubbed “miraculous”, but now known to be mortally dangerous. With data from Nevada’s cancer registry, an epidemiologist prepared a preliminary report that outlined what she felt was a troubling pattern of mesothelioma — a cancer often related to asbestos exposure — among residents of the affected areas.”

Mold poisoning is a serious condition that warrants immediate treatment and action.

In his website, TV Doctor, Dr. Oz re-posted a video clip of his interview with a mom whose family got sick of inhaling mold and gases that it emits.

According to website susanutchinson.com, black mold poisoning has a lot of symptoms, and most of those symptoms, they have experienced when they unknowingly lived in an old farmhouse that apparently has molds in its crawl space.

“Black mold (Stachybotrys chartarum and Stachybotrys chlorohalonata) is HIGHLY toxic. Look for mildew on your windows, yellowish stains on your ceilings and walls, mildew in the bathroom, etc. As the mold grows, it becomes more toxic as it releases into the air.
