Molds can grow everywhere, and by everywhere that would mean even in your children’s toys.

Since mold grows where there is moisture, seemingly safe toys like bath toys, and even an infant’s teething toy or ring, can be infested with molds, posing health dangers even to the very young children.

Advice for Parenting Blog shared some of the illnesses kids can get from black molds that may grow in their toys. “The negative health effects are made even worse for a young child. That moisture helps to create a veritable breeding ground for mold. If there is one toy that attracts black mold more than any other toy out there is the one that sits with your child in their bath water: the rubber ducky.”
